An accomplished surgeon, Dr. Chetana is also endowed with artistic talents having trained in Maxillofacial surgery qualifying in 2001. She has gained significant experience in the management of congenital deformities of the face and is currently both a Director of a major cleft centre as well as making significant contributions in aesthetic facial surgery at Maaya.

She is an accomplished painter, plays the veena (an Indian string instrument) and also sings in classical south Indian style (Carnatic).

She plays a key part in the holistic approach to the patient and in the general planning of complete makeovers of patients from across the spectrum of life including celebrities.

Dr. Poonam is a suave and refined dermatologist with a keen interest in beauty & aesthetics. She trained and qualified from the renowned Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, and currently contributes to the management of skin in its myriad presentations, in order to use the process of nature to redefine beauty of the skin and slow down ageing.

Prof. (Dr.) Akthar Husain , an internationally acclaimed photographer and artist is also one of the two key orthodontists of Team Maaya. He is currently Chairman, Department of Orthodontics, Yenepoya Dental College and also President of the Indian Orthodontic Society. His sense of perfection in aesthetics comes through not only in his clinical work but also in the numerous award winning photographs and painting exhibitions. He trained at the renowned Kasturba Medical College, Manipal and currently travels all over India and abroad giving lectures on contemporary orthodontics, photography techniques and painting.

Prof. (Dr.) M. S. Ravi , a key member of Team Maaya completed his orthodontic training in India at Annamalai University and later went on to obtain the M.OrthRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, U.K. He has a keen interest in surgical orthodontics and orthodontics for congenital anomalies for Cleft lip and palate and has been associated with Prof. (Dr.) Krishna Shama Rao for the past 15 years. He is currently a Professor, Department of Orthodontics, A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangalore.

Prof. (Dr.) U. S. Raveendra , Chairman Department of Anaesthesiology, KSHEMA, is a key anesthetist at Maaya. By nature very calm and pleasing, he is today a renowned Paediatric Anaesthetist and sought after in anaesthesiology forums all over India to describe his significant experience in anaesthesia in the management of craniofacial anomalies including craniosynostosis, cleft lip and palate etc.

Young and dynamic, Dr. Avanish Bhandary is the second dedicated Anaesthetist in Team Maaya. He obtained his training at the renowned JNM Medical College, Belgaum, and has over the past few years obtained significant experience in the management of congenital anomalies.
